1973 Fender Telecaster Custom Electric Guitar

Overview: I have always loved the '70s look and tone of these Tele Customs with their bridge twang and rock neck sounds. This one has a replaced bridge pickup and some minor hardware swaps, but is otherwise original. It's got a nice neck, lived-in looks (just the right amount), and comes in a utilitarian '70s translucent brown. What's not to like?

Repairs included: Sarah gave this a level/dress of the frets, cleaning, and setup work. We added Callaham saddles from our parts-bins as the originals were not adjusting nicely (they're in the case). I think we also solved a minor wiring issue. At any rate, it's playing bang-on and is ready to go!

Condition notes: There are nicks, dings, and wear to the finish on the body but it's only light/moderate. The tuners are swapped. The bridge pickup is swapped. The saddles are swapped. The strap button at the bottom is swapped. The nut may be swapped. Otherwise, it appears original throughout. This one actually has a nicely-fit neck pocket and so the 3-bolt design is sturdy and practical in this application.

It comes with: It has an old, original (presumably) hard case.

A band-mate of mine in the 80's had the same model Tele running into a Twinn Reverb. A fantastic sounding rig!
