2004 Rickenbacker Dakota Electric Guitar

Overview: How cool is this? This is a stripped-down, natural-finish, rawk-aimed Rickenbacker. Someone fit a Bigsby to it (the owner claims it was factory work as he bought it new from a shop this way, but plugged holes near the ABR-style bridge suggest otherwise) and it has a simplified, rough-and-tumble look. The pickguard is chromed metal and the black truss cover has chromed lettering, giving it a bit of a Harley sort-of look. The neck is wider and more retro-Tele-like than your average Ricki and the pickups are pretty aggressive and bold. I like!

Repairs included: This got a level/dress of the frets, a bit of cleaning, and a good setup. It's playing spot-on and ready to go.

Condition notes: It's got some usewear -- a bit of aging to the fretboard finish and small scuffs, scratches, and dings here and there on the body -- but overall it's in good shape and looks great. The Bigsby is likely non-original and there are 6 filled bolt-holes behind the current ABR bridge on top.

It comes with: It has its original, molded hard case.

If you split these pickups, they have roughly the same output as Ric Toasters... very cool sounding!
