2013 Martin Custom Size 5 Terz/Parlor Guitar
Overview: Friends of mine bought this guitar a while back and I first saw it in 2017 when it was brought in for a bridge reglue, K&K pickup install, and setup work. I was a bit taken with it back then and everyone's taken with it now, too -- it's so cute! It's been nice and stable setup-wise since then and barely-played. It's a gorgeous little thing with a solid cedar top, solid morado back and sides, pearl rosette, and herringbone purfling at the top edge. Just like in the '20s, the binding is rosewood and it has an ebony board and bridge. It looks slick and has a surprisingly-full, balanced sound that's perfect for fingerpicking but does a nice chug-along strumming-style sound, too.
Repairs included: Aside from the previous work mentioned above, this time around I did need to cleat a hairline crack below the treble wing of the bridge (it's pictured) and give it a little setup work. It's playing spot-on and ready to serve. It's currently strung with 54w-12 gauges for E-to-E tuning, but sticking a set of 46w-10 strings on will let you tune up G-to-G ("terz" tuning) and a set of 42w-9 gauges will get you A-to-A ("quart" tuning), which sound spectacular on these little guys. A set of Nashville strings (like the upper-octave half of a 12-string set) will also make this a lovely little chime-monster in just the best way.

Condition notes: It has a 3" or so hairline crack on the top just below the treble wing of the bridge and about a 1/4" hairline just below the bass wing. I assume these were caused by dryness. Due to the lightweight bracing, the top has a little bit of "doming" under the bridge and directly to the sides of the wings. It's been stable like this for a long time so I'm not worried about it, but it is there.
It comes with: It has an original, Martin hard case that's perfectly-fit.
