1932 Vega Little Wonder Banjo-Ukulele Conversion
Overview: This is a typical Vega Little Wonder banjo-mandolin that Ancel has converted over into a 4-string banjo-ukulele. I suppose it could also be restrung and re-bridged for use as a 4-string banjo-mandolin, but we find these a lot of fun setup as ukes instead and it's a mod I do quite often myself. In this capacity, they're extremely loud, punchy, and fun to play -- especially if you're a uke player tasked with keeping-up with a bigger band or jam in an acoustic situation.
Repairs included: Ancel gave it a level/dress of the frets, fit a new Remo Renaissance head, cleaned it up, fit a new nut, modified the tuners and headstock post holes, and set it up. It's playing spot-on and ready to go.

Condition notes: The finish has checking throughout and a little flaking of the clearcoat here and there -- especially at the headstock veneer where it's quite flaked-off. It has a new nut, new head, side dots added, and the tuners are modified. There is a replacement neck brace plate but otherwise the hardware is original throughout. The bridge is period but may not be original.
