1978 Fender Precision Bass Electric Bass Guitar
Overview: It's a big old P-Bass! What else? You can't fight the desire for a classic. The Olympic White finish on this guy has aged to a nice, creamy yellow and someone hot-rodded it with a brass nut and DiMarzio pickups. You can't get much more "of its era" than that from a standard-looking P, eh? This guy has a fuller neck feel and good punch and whoompf when jacked-in.
Repairs included: Max gave it a fret level/dress and setup and I resoldered some leads and put in a new jack to replace a funky old one (as I recall). It's playing spot-on and ready to go.

Condition notes: It's mostly-original but is missing chrome covers for both the pickup area and the bridge. The pickups have been swapped for what look like old DiMarzios. They sound great and I often see them in this period of P-Bass because the originals from the late '70s tended to be a bit anemic. One of the knobs may be a replacement as the other one has oxidized a lot (or it could be the other way around). There's wear and tear to the finish throughout with some darker spots worn-in from use, the whole finish aging yellower than it was to begin-with, and marks from light scratches, nicks, and dings here and there. The hardware shows a bit of grunge throughout ands the edges of the neck have wear from play. Someone also added a brass nut and we left it because it's '70s-cool.
It comes with: It has a non-original, tweed-covered, older, rectangular hard case.
