1980s Tokai TOM-150V Dreadnought Guitar
I'm not exactly sure if this model number is correct for this guitar, but it's what's stamped on the neckblock. This is a nice-quality, Japanese-made dreadnought guitar in the shape and style of an old Martin D-28. It sounds an awful lot like a D-28 crossed with a D-18, though the caveat here is that it has ply rosewood back and sides. The top is solid spruce.
The neck hanldes very much like a '60s D-28 and it even has a kick-butt volute behind the headstock. It has an old-fashioned, '30s-style through-saddle setup, too.
Jose did some glorified setup/fretwork on this and checked on the hairline cracks on top and it's now playing bang-on and ready to go.
