1989 Fender Japan Precision Bass Electric Bass Guitar

Overview: When this bass arrived, I looked it all over because I thought it was a much newer instrument. Nope! After taking it all apart and peeking everywhere, it's exactly what it appears to be -- a very clean, well-kept, lightly-used Fender Japan P-Bass from about '89 per its serialization. It's on the lighter side for a P (just over 8 lbs), has a '60s-feeling neck profile, and has a classic, white-on-cream look that'll tie into just about any band's music. Its only fault is that, in the photos, the neckplate was fit back upside-down. Oops! It's a solid, comfy, quick-playing P.

Repairs included: Max just needed to give this one a light cleaning and a setup. It's playing spot-on and ready to rip!

Condition notes: It's very clean and appears all-original throughout. There's light playwear evidence but the frets didn't even need leveling and dressing -- they're barely played. The pickguard has hole mounts for a chrome pickup cover but the holes are not drilled. I've seen some from this time with the same thing -- perhaps to allow mounting the cover but no one put it on?

It comes with: It has an old Fender hard case.
