2018 Gibson J-45 Avant Garde Cutaway Dreadnought Guitar

Overview: This is a cool interpretation of a J-45, with a thinner body depth, cutaway for easier fret access, and featuring walnut back and sides rather than mahogany. It also has a '30s-style, AJ-like bridge cut and a Martin-like pickguard fit to it. We had a J-45 Studio Rosewood in recently with the same-depth body and I really like the handling on both of these -- it's like having the "spread" in sound of a J-45-style guitar but with a bit more of a 000-size compression and snap. Fingerpickers sound killer on these and flatpickers who like to zip out over others in a group will enjoy how they snap compared to a normal J-style.

Repairs included: Jose gave it a level/dress of the frets, previously repaired some hairline cracks, and set it up. It's playing spot-on and ready to serve.

Condition notes: There's mild playwear/usewear throughout the body but it's overall a tidier box. There are a few repaired hairline cracks on the side at the treble waist. It's original save that the undersaddle pickup that came with it when it came to its owner is not installed anymore and the endpin area is filled and a strap button fit there.

It comes with: It's got a decent hard case.
