1960s Silvertone 1457 (Danelectro) Semihollow Electric Guitar
Overview: I love Danelectros. I love Silvertones made by Danelectro. This is the longer-scale version of the "amp-in-case" model Silvertone and has twin lipstick single-coil pickups, a curious body, the typical pine/Masonite semihollow build, and the same wiring circuit as found in Dano U2s and the like (with it in series in the middle position for a volume/oomph boost). We worked on this for my friend Rob last year but he's moved-on to different guitars despite this being perfect for his playing-style! Oh well, Danelectro lovers can't be made every day...! Suffice to say, these 1457s are a bit like owning an old U2 model but with a more-compact, easier-to-keep-in-the-lap shape and a very retro look. The nut width on this one is a little wider than most, too, so fingerpickers will find that attractive I am sure.
Repairs included: Previously, this got a fret level/dress, restring, compensation of the bridge, cleaning, and setup. It just needed a quick string change when it got back here for resale. It's ready to go and playing spot-on!

Condition notes: It's pretty clean overall and all original except for 2 newer strap buttons. It has light scratches, scuffs, and wear throughout the finish but looks nice and is cleaner than most of these by far.
It comes with: It doesn't have anything officially but I can probably scrounge a gigbag up for it.
