1960s Slingerland White Marine Pearl Drum Set

A local friend brought this cool old '60s Slingerland kit in for sale. I have it pictured with a set of newer Zildjian Avedis cymbals, hi-hats, and Pearl stands -- but they don't come with the set (but could be included for some more greenbacks, if desired).

The serialization is all really close and points to late-'60s for timeframe. It could also point to mid-'70s, but judging by the look of all the equipment, it looks more late-'60s to me. The kit contains the kick drum, a floor tom, mounted tom, and snare -- all with matching "Marine White Pearl" wrap. The kick pedal and stands for all of these are included. It's in decent shape but both toms are missing their bottom tension hoops, heads, and mounting hardware. Oops!

All of the internal dampers work nicely and the kit has a pretty old-school sound to it. I like. I think it's especially hip that the original Slingerland head is still on the front of the kick!
