1965 Gibson ES-330 Hollowbody Electric Guitar

I'm going to cut to the chase, here -- this beastie is excellent. The neck is quick but not too slim, it's lightweight, it has the cool metal P90 pickup covers, the finish is clean, and it's got tons of style. When it arrived here, it needed a level/dress of the frets and a setup, but it as otherwise ready to go.

The longer story is funnier, of course! A local customer was given a fat bonus from his workplace in the form of a gift card to the shop (...right? ...talk about a great place to work) and the mission he gave me was to find a '60s ES-330 or a Casino. I knew a buddy of mine had an ES-330 he was on the fence about selling, so I gave him a buzz and he left it here for a trial run. Said trial run was going well until his girlfriend found out about it (she loves that guitar) and the deal was abandoned a few weeks in (this is both funny and wonderful, knowing all parties involved).

That said, I then went on a fresh hunt and found this one from Olivia's Vintage. It's mostly-original but has swapped tuners, a replacement truss rod cover, and a rewound bridge pickup. It also, luckily, has a fresh, good-quality hard case with it. Post-repairs from Ancel, it's playing spot-on and ready to serve. I'm glad both Olivia's and I could make the new owner happy -- he's an excellent guy all-around and it was nice to see a big smile on his face as he left for home with it.
