1970s Gurian J-R Jumbo Guitar
Overview: I picked this guitar up off of a local fella. It needed a bit of the usual work but was pretty clean, otherwise. The serial number places it sort-of around '74 or '75 and its style of build certainly lines-up with other Gurians from the same age that I've had through the shop. When these were built, they were serious, boutique-style, fingerpicking-centric, flattop guitars. The sound is clean, even, loud, warm, and rich on this one and it definitely handles the fingerpicking stuff well but it's also a great chord-thumper, too. The trim is understated and classy like a Martin but the overall look is "all Gurian" with its sort-of jumbo, sort-of dreadnought body shape.
Repairs included: Ancel gave this a level/dress of the frets, a bridge reglue, and setup work. It's playing bang-on and ready to go.

Condition notes: There's weather-checking throughout the finish, mild surface scratches here and there throughout, and a small ding on the back. There's edge-rubbing at the headstock but it's mild. Overall it looks grand and the finish has UV-darkened to "just the dang best" lived-in look.
It comes with: It has a hard case.
