1980s Alvarez-Yairi DY-38 Dreadnought Guitar

Overview: These old Alvarez dreadnoughts keep ticking and ticking. This one is in the style of a D-18 and it sounds and handles a lot like one, too, though perhaps with a bit more direct tone and with some added mids and less velvet overall. It's playing quick and easy. I'm not sure exactly what year it was made but I'm assuming mid '80s judging by the looks and label.

Repairs included: I'd adjusted the setup on this guitar in the past but gave it a fresh setup this time. It's playing spot-on and ready to roll.

Condition notes: It's overall fairly clean but has some light to medium dings here and there and scratches from general use. See the photos! It's original throughout save a strap button at the side of the heel. The saddle is on the low side but it's been this way for several years without any drifting and so I expect it will be good to go for a while, yet.

It comes with: This comes with either a gigbag or a chip case -- whichever is handy and spare at the time!
