1990s Alvarez RD20S12 12-String Dreadnought Guitar

Overview: I remember when these old RD-series Alvarez guitars came out and friends of mine bought them. With their solid tops, they were tremendous value at the time and still are at their used prices. The necks are comfortable and modern and they have a good, practical sound and feel. This one has been used a bunch in its life but it's still in good shape and has a full, even sound.

Repairs included: Max gave this a level/dress of the frets and set it all up. I put a new replacement pickguard on it. Someone else had already installed a decent-sounding undersaddle pickup at some point. It's playing bang-on and ready to go!

Condition notes: It has mild scratches and scuffs here and there in the finish but overall it looks great. The saddle position was wrong from the factory (a little sharp) so Max compensated the saddle all the way to the rear and so the intonation is pretty good but you will notice a little bit of drift on some of the notes as you move to higher frets (10+) compared to our usual 12-string saddles, which we fully-compensate for each note. We just didn't have room on the saddle slot to do so in this case. The pickguard is a replacement but it's otherwise original.

It comes with: This will come with an older chip case of some sort.
