1940s Martin Style 0 Soprano Ukulele
Overview: I took this cute little uke in trade from a friend of the shop and Jose got it going more in-spec for me. It appears to date to the '40s per its features and is a simple, low-bling, Style 0 uke with no binding. The build is just as nice as the fancier models and it sounds sweet and mellow. The necks feel great on these old Martins as well! This one has some rough-life signs but is in good order, now, and ready to strum away into the night.
Repairs included: Jose repaired a bigger top crack/puncture wound near the bridge and also some hairline cracks on the back. He then leveled and dressed the frets, gave the bridge a light saddle and bridge-top shave, and then set it up to play spot-on.
