1996 Epiphone Emperor Joe Pass Hollowbody Electric Guitar
Overview: Want an ES-175 that's not an ES-175? That's what this fella is, basically. It's got its own styling and body feel but that's roughly the experience when playing it. It'll do jazz and blues easily and, if you've got the panache, it could certainly lean right into rock as well. The pickups are clean but slightly darker than '60s-style humbuckers and suited to a warmer/mellower sound rather than the crisp and clean '60s ES-175 tones.
Repairs included: It just needed a decent setup. It's rocking Thomastik flatwound strings at the moment (the bridge is compensated for a wound G, mind you) and sounds great with them. It's playing spot-on and ready to serve.
