1998 Fender Japan ‘54 Reissue Stratocaster Electric Guitar

Overview: I bought this guitar/took it in trade just recently. It was the fellow's teenage-years barnburner of a guitar and it has the wear and tear to prove it. That said, it's a killer instrument. It's completely original, too, save the second tone knob. It has the '50s one-ply pickguard, 3-way switch (with "ghost" in-between settings), Alnico pickups, and big old V-shaped neck profile. I love everything about it, right down to the discolored pickguard and scratches and scrapes. As you can hear in the video, it also sounds great, too.

Repairs included: I gave this a level/dress of the frets, replacement tone knob, much cleaning, new strings, and a good setup. All the (original) wiring was good to go but I did spray it all out with contact cleaner. It's playing spot-on and ready to serve.

Condition notes: It's entirely original except for one tone knob. There are numerous scratches and scuffs here and there on the body (I took photos), the pickguard is discolored, and there's a cigarette burn mark at the top of the headstock (I think). There are small nicks and dings at the edges. Overall, though, doesn't it look worn-and-ready fantastic?

It comes with: It has a nice, non-original (I think -- it's tweed) hard case.
