2000s Crafters of Tennessee Blues Woodbody Resonator Guitar

Overview: This thing is fiery, punchy, and flat-out loud. We had another one of these in here just recently and I felt the same about it -- these handle like a better version of an old National Trojan or the like. They've got a comfy-sized body but outsized, bluesy, aggressive temperament. The necks are retro in flavor but comfortable and easy to get around-on. All that and this one's cherry-red in color, has oodles of flame to its maple body, and has held-up well over time.

Repairs included: This only really needed a setup (the frets are almost new and only very lightly-used) but I found that the original cone had a weak section under the biscuit (from improper biscuit seating -- it had been set off-center) and, luckily-enough, I had a spare, brand-new, Beard 9 1/2" cone on hand so I replaced it with that. The new cone sits a little higher (and so the saddle and biscuit bridge needed shaving) but overall the tone has improved a lot (louder, fuller, punchier) so it's a win-win. It's playing bang-on and ready to go.
