2000s Mendini 1/4 Violin

This is a presumably-Chinese-made Mendini violin. I took it in trade or bought it in a big lot of instruments sometime back, as I do with all fractional violins, and then waited around for someone who needs one.

A nice family needed a 1/4 size and 1/2 size pair and this is the 1/4 we had. Manny did a great job planing the fingerboard and setting it all up -- his attention to detail was appreciated because it sounds and plays quite nicely.

It's solid spruce over solid maple, though the fingerboard is ebonized maple instead of actual ebony. It was hilarious watching Manny suffer with the small scale of everything...
