2020s Music Man Sterling Mariposa Electric Guitar

Overview: I took this guitar in trade and boy is it a good one. This is the Sterling version of a Music Man artist model instrument for Omar Rodriguez-Lopez (Mars Volta, At The Drive-In). The retro-looking offset body (reminiscent of Kay and Danelectro vibes) in the metallic turquoise is hip as heck and it has a compact, comfortable, easy feel about it. The wiring is simple -- twin volume controls and a 3-way switch -- and the humbuckers are crisp and clean and clear but have good output and drive. The neck is the usual Music Man fare these days -- a little heftier compared to your average Fender but very comfortable and fast -- and it's roasted maple to give it a little more stability (and a great look). The hardware is all good quality and well-thought-out.

Repairs included: I gave it a light cleaning, restring, and setup. It's playing spot-on and ready to go.

Condition notes: It's quite clean with just a little light use evident here and there. It is, unfortunately, missing its whammy arm, though I have the whammy set to allow easy detuning (not upbending -- it's tightened enough to hold the plate to the body) use with an arm.

It comes with: Sorry, no case. If I have a spare gigbag at the time of shipping, I will include one.
