1900s German Fancily-Carved 4/4 Violin

Overview: This violin has no label, but it's likely German-made from around 1900. It has a fantastic, relief-carved (or heat-pressed somehow?) decorative touch on the back and is a high-quality, expensive-feeling instrument with a clean, easy, smooth sound. It handles quickly and has a good-looking, aged finish throughout. The finger-wear and rosin depositing on the top is quite attractive. The top is tightly-grained spruce and the maple of the back, sides, and neck is all well-figured. It has a pretty, one-piece back to boot.

Repairs included: As I recall, Manny gave this one a board plane/dress, refit the bridge, repaired some seams, and set it all up. It also got a new chinrest. It's playing spot-on and ready to go.

Condition notes: The tailpiece appears to be original or older. The tuners are likely replacements. The bridge looks period. It shows plenty of general usewear throughout but most of that is confined to the top from rosin depositing and general use. The back and sides show some darkening of the finish, too, but nothing like the top. The chinrest is new.

It comes with: It has a decent hard case as I recall.
