1930s Harmony 1715 Model 4/4 Violin
Overview: This funky old Harmony violin is on the rare side of the instruments made by the brand. I believe these were made only in the '30s and early '40s and so there aren't a lot of these out there in the wild and many have been damaged beyond repair. Manny spent a long time bringing this one back to life and, in a lovely twist, he was rewarded for the efforts with a clean-sounding, easy-playing old fiddle. It's on the simpler side in styling and has some quirky Harmony features (faux-flame on the back and sides!) but 's pretty hip for all that.
Repairs included: It has several top crack repairs (with cleats), needed a plethora of seam repairs, a neck reset, fingerboard plane/dressing, pegs fit, a tailpiece fit, a bridge fit, soundpost fit, a vintage chinrest fit, cleaning, and setup work. It's playing spot-on and ready to serve.
