1956 Fender Deluxe 5E3 15w 1x12” Tube Amp
This beaut is a '56 Deluxe that was gone-over by the famous Vermont amp tech, Bill Carruth. It's a demon in the tone department and all the work has been done to make it a reliable, stage-ready friend.
It looks like all of the electrolytic capacitors have been replaced by newer, Jupiter, Sprague, or F&T units which are all good-quality replacements. It's been 3-pronged. Bill also put his customary computer-style fan back there to help keep it cool when cranking on it for whole gigs (it could be easily removed if desired). The speaker is original but the cone was replaced by Orange County Speaker Works.
As far as condition goes -- the tweed has been abused at all the corners and edges but it still looks excellent and, aside from the caps, quite original. It's definitely not a closet classic and is much more of a player's amp -- ready to be cranked hard and enjoyed.
