1975 Fender Mustang (Modded) Electric Bass Guitar
Overview: How cool is this critter? It's a Mustang Bass and mostly original, save for the honking-big, Gibson-style, "mudbucker" pickup. I believe this is one of the older DiMarzio versions of the pickup style but I'm not sure. The flip-switch addition seems to either do some sort of coil finagling or be a bypass for the tone control. I'm confused by it! Aside from that, it's a pretty straightforward Mustang Bass -- comfy and quick in the neck, easy to love, and with great looks. I've been a fan of them for a long time!
The neckplate has a 1975 serial number attached to it and it definitely appears to be just that -- the hardware and build style is right for the time.
Repairs included: It arrived in decent shape but I did give it a level/dress of the frets and a bunch of setup tweaking to make it play right. It's playing bang-on and ready to go.
