1978 Fender Musicmaster (Modded) Electric Bass Guitar

Overview: This crazy old Musicmaster Bass has been made a lot more hip by the modification and inclusion of a McNeely neck pickup and a Curtis Novak H22 bridge pickup and a set of Hipshot tuners with a detuner on the low E string. Right?! It arrived here with an odd wiring scheme but I've simplified it to dual volume controls. The "middle position" (both on) is currently out of phase but I can rewire that as-desired. Other than that, it's a quick-playing, comfy-necked, cool old bass.

Repairs included: Molly gave it a heavy-handed level/dress of the frets to remove a bit of ski-jump at the fretboard extension. She then set it up. I rewired it and made a few other minor adjustments. It's playing spot-on and ready to serve!

Condition notes: Much is original to the bass but the normal-mount pickup has been swapped, a pickup was added at the bridge, new tuners were fit to the headstock, and a new wiring harness and knobs were fit. It looks like the nut is new, too, and the pickguard has been recut to allow truss access without having to remove the neck. There's mild usewear throughout (light scuffs, scratches, finish discoloration) but it looks good!
