2002 Santa Cruz D Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar
This is a beautiful, 12-fret, round-shoulders, herringbone-trimmed, Santa Cruz D in the style of a "Norman Blake" Martin. It's got a big, warm, round sound and fingerpicks as nicely as it flatpicks. I find this guitar significantly more "28-like" in its scope and sound than your average 12-fret Martin D-18, and that's not a bad thing -- it has huge bottom end and a rumbly presence.
It was in the shop for a bridge reglue and setup work (thanks, Jose, for that!) and it's now playing spot-on.
It's very clean for its age and has all the stuff you might want from a '30s-throwback machine, including a neck profile very similar to the oldies, too.
