2003 Taylor 214 Small Jumbo Guitar
This is a customer's guitar that was in the shop for repairs. It's a good-sounding, 000-size-ish box with a quick neck and satin finish. I expect the back and sides are ply and the top is solid.
It has a weird, transitional, Taylor bolted neck joint that was a bit of a pain to make functional again. For the life of me, I couldn't figure-out why the neck wouldn't tighten to the body after shimming the joint until I realized that the threaded insert that accepts the bolt had come loose and needed to be epoxied back into position. Sigh!
I'm glad Taylor moved to their current bolted system after this one -- this one has two vertical bolts that have to be adjusted inside the tight space of the neckblock area and it is hugely irritating to have to fuss with them when trying-out different shims for neck-angle adjustments.
