1996 Gibson F-5G Bruce Weber-Signed Carved-Top Mandolin
Overview: It doesn't get much better for a '90s Gibson F than something like this fella -- a Bruce Weber-signed label and with modifications done by Mr. Weber himself later-on -- a refret and board plane that's added bigger wire and a radius to the board. It plays like an absolute champ, has that classic bluegrassy tone with some nice, midsy sting, and looks the business as well. While it's not as dressed-up as a normal F-5, these F-5Gs definitely pack their punch in their sound and will appeal to players who like a trim, easygoing look.
Repairs included: This just needed a quick setup to be at its best. It's playing spot-on and ready to go.
