1900s Stainer 4/4 German Violin
Overview: This is a nicer-grade, Stainer-marked (on the back, even) violin that's likely of German origin from around 1900-1910 or so. It's a little different from the vast majority of the late-1800s "Stainer" copies in that the shoulders are more rounded and the carve to the top more severe around the f-holes like actual Stainer instruments, though perhaps not as severe as they could be. It has a cool, dark-brown finish style with rubbed edges that give a nice, antiqued, stand-out look to the instrument.
Tonally, it's clean and even and has a good, midsy bark to it when played with power. It already had some work done to it before it arrived here so it was in good order upon receipt.
Repairs included: As I recall, we just needed to give this a quick setup. It's playing spot-on and ready to go.

Condition notes: There are lighter scuffs, scratches, and small nicks and dings here and there throughout but overall it looks worthy and ship-shape. The bridge, tailpiece, and chinrest are likely unoriginal. The pegs are a bit close-in at the pegbox but still working just fine.
It comes with: It has no official case but I likely have an older, 1890s, wood case to put it in for travel and light use.
