2011 Taylor 816ce Jumbo Cutaway Guitar
This is a customer's guitar that was in for work -- a level/dress of the frets and some setup adjustments that Sarah did. I figured it would be worth to snag a few pics and a video as it's obviously been a workhorse for the owner and it's opened-up nicely and sounds terrific. For folks who think Taylors are all "balance and shimmer" -- here's a nice refutation to that -- this one's big and warm-sounding and has snazzy looks to boot.
Per the usual, it has some nice details -- maple binding, a pearl band at the rosette, elegant wood purfling, a wood pickguard, and all that sort of stuff. The neck is quick and fast, too, and it feels like this particular one has more radius on the board than most, though I may be imagining it...!
