1920s National Style 2 Resonator Ukulele

I pretty-much swoon over all National ukes. This "big body" Style 2 is the bee's knees and didn't need a whole lot to get it going, though we did have to swap-out its original cone for a new one (the original had been crushed any number of times and was showing metal fatigue problems at its edges). It now has a fresh cone and biscuit under the hood. It also got a level/dress of the frets and setup tweaks.

The owner plays in fifths tunings and I didn't realize it was supposed to be tuned up to mandolin pitch so in the quick video it's tuned down to DAEB by mistake. It does sound a heck of a lot louder and more impressive tuned-up!

Per its serialization, this one probably dates to the very late '20s.
