1930s National Style 1-1/2 Resonator Tenor Guitar

I love National tenor guitars! They're so good when they're dialed-in. This one is "sort-of" a Style 1 but it has a chickenfoot coverplate and some extra engraving around its top and back edges that lead me to suspect it was a mildly-custom-order instrument as it does not fit catalog descriptions. It's completely stock, too, save for some replaced dots in the fretboard extension.

I gave it a neck reset, leveled/dressed the frets, recut the saddle a bit, and set it up.  It was fairly grungy when it arrived and missing its pickguard, unfortunately. Still, post-repairs it's a winner and sounds and looks great. I love the mix of features on this one -- it's definitely unusual in the looks department.
