1950s United-made (Premier-Style) Hollowbody Electric Guitar
Overview: There's no branding at the headstock (the medallion has obviously been yanked-off) but this looks a lot like Premier-branded products that were made by United in New Jersey and distributed via the Sorkin network. It even has the awesome Franz pickups that the brand tended to use which sound a bit like relaxed P90s.
I love the rotating 3-way switch on the upper bout, the big old block inlays, and the general cut and vibe of this guy. The modernist f-holes are a nice touch, too, and recall Gretsch and German archtops from the same time. It appears original throughout save for the tuners and bridge.
I'm not sure if this one will be for sale as the owner hasn't checked it out yet (I doubt it, it's very cool) but I collected all the stats for it anyhow.
Repairs included: I gave it a neck reset, level/dress of the frets, cleaning, and setup work. I've got it strung with flatwound strings (50w-11) and it's playing spot-on and ready to go.

Condition notes: Aside from the tuners and bridge, it appears original throughout. Oh -- and the endpin is likely non-original. It has mild scuffs, scratches, and whatnot throughout the finish and some weather-check as well, but it looks good despite it all. Oh, and, of course -- the headstock has had its branding yanked-off!
It comes with: It has its original, brown, hard case.
