1958 Martin 000-18 Flattop Acoustic Guitar
The poor owner of this guitar has waited ages for it to get fixed. Since it was dropped-off, so much has been happening around the shop that it just kept getting knocked-back in line. It wound-up getting a neck reset, bridge mod/save and new saddle, a level/dress of the frets, cleaning, and setup work. I think Jacobi did the latter but I did the reset and some of the bridge work. It has its original bridge but, unfortunately, a thin hairline near the front edge meant I needed to get creative in making it functional again -- in this case I cut the saddle slot deeper, Jacobi fit a drop-in saddle for it, and then I glued it all in place to support the damaged bridge. It turned-out well, thankfully.
As far as the guitar goes? It has a plethora of old repairs to cracks, overspray here and there throughout, and it's definitely not a looker but it definitely does have it where it counts as it sounds excellent and is now quite a good player. Aside from the finish "touch-ups," it's largely original as well.
