2000s Ibanez AWD82 Hollow Body Electric Guitar

Overview: I bought this guitar off of a random walk-in encounter with a friend of a friend. Ibanez Artcore instruments are always impressive at their price points and this one is no exception. It's built well, nice and stable in service, and plays great after setup work (though it wasn't far off as-received).

Its odd mix of features includes a Strat-shaped body, Les Paul-sounding pickups and scale length, a modern and quick neck profile with a Gibson-y 10" board radius, "carved" shape to the top, and a surprisingly-lightweight build (it's 6 lbs). It feels, in its odd way, very familiar and yet pretty modern at the same time.

The adjustable, wraparound-style bridge and oodles of real abalone binding and board inlays don't hurt, either. It's a spiff instrument!

Repairs included: I cleaned it up a bit, fit new strings, and set it up. It's playing spot-on and ready to roll.
