2026 Brad Sourdiffe "Walnut" Long Scale Electric Bass

Overview: This is a new Sourdiffe creation from just this year. It features a solid, moderately-figured, walnut body with a dark-stained, flamed maple "pickguard" in its center. A semi-gloss, hand-rubbed finish pulls the detail out of the wood and the black hardware and wood pickup covers give the whole thing an understated, slick look.

The body is completely custom and the hardware and fittings are all high-quality, expensive kit. The neck is a modified G&L neck, per Brad's usual style of mixing tried-and-true necks with his own body designs. The Schaller tuners are mounted reverse-style like on old Fender Precision Basses and it has a matching Schaller bridge as well.

There's a lot to like about this bass -- it feels very familiar but yet has its own thing going on. The pickups are active humbuckers and splittable via a pull-up on the volume knobs. The knobs are simple volume/tone for each pickup. Between your options, you can dial-in just about any bass sound you can dream up.

Repairs included: I just gave it a quick setup. It's playing spot-on and ready to go!

Condition notes: It is essentially brand-new, though upon first inspection I did find a couple of very small nicks on the back of the neck in the maple (normal handling wear, like someone bumped it on a table edge while playing). They don't detract from the feel at all and they were too small to photograph, but they are there.

It comes with: It's got a gigbag.
