1950s Harmony Mahogany Concert Ukulele

Overview: This type of Harmony uke was first made in the '30s and wound-up being built straight through to the late '60s. In the '30s they called it a "tenor" ukulele but it specs-out as a concert-size instrument in reality. These are lightweight, simple but great-sounding, solid-mahogany instruments.

I'd previously helped a friend get it going "good enough," but this time around I got the chance to get it dialed-in perfectly as it's here for sale this time. I used to work on a lot of these in the past and it was nice to get to work on one again for a moment!

Repairs included: Previously, it got a neck reset (with bolt reinforcement at the inside of the neck block), geared tuners installed at the headstock, and setup work. This time around I leveled/dressed the frets, added side dots, reglued and tweaked the bridge, and set it up again with new strings. It's playing spot-on and ready to go! The bridge can be strung "through-top" using small holes drilled in the string slots or "as normal" with ball-ends to the rear edge of the bridge.

Condition notes: The tuners are replaced and it has some small nicks and dings here and there and scratches here and there as well. There is a reinforcement bolt installed in the heel at the neckblock (these have doweled joints so this is a bit of a must on this style of uke if you want it to remain stable). There are a couple of small repaired hairline cracks on the sides and a small patch on the bass side near the heel (very nicely done) as well.

It comes with: It comes with a new Ibanez Powerpad gigbag in red (a nice case).
