1960s Harmony H1203 Coburn X-Brace Conversion 000-Size Acoustic Guitar
Overview: This is a nice-looking H1203 Sovereign that Ancel converted to x-bracing and souped-up into a hot rod. It has good volume and punch and sounds a bit like a cross between a 000-18 from the early '50s and, maybe, a Guild F-30 from the '60s. It's got some warmth but also some authority.
The fir brace stock we use has carbon fiber laminated to it on one side and so it can be cut into a lower, rectangular shape that's very light but also quite stiff. As a result, the tops are more stable and we can optimize volume and warmth without worrying so much about belly in the lower bout.
Repairs included: In addition to the rebrace job, Ancel also reglued the bridge, recut it into a pin-bridge load, made a new bone nut and saddle, planed the board and refretted it, gave it a neck reset, and set it all up. It plays like a champ, has plenty of saddle, and is ready to go.

Condition notes: It has a cluster of small hairline cracks (repaired) near the bridge on the top. There are a few small side cracks (repaired) on the lower bout side near the endpin (pictured). The back has finish blemish near the endpin area. There's minor pickwear and usewear throughout and light crackle to the finish clearcoat here and there. The original pickguard is long missing and Ancel buffed-out that area to match better with the rest of the finish (I think it's a classy look).
It comes with: Sorry, no case.
