1960s Landola (Finland) 000-Size Acoustic Guitar
We don't see a ton of Landola-made instruments up here, but I've worked on about 10 guitars over the years and they tend to sound great and have good necks, but also tend to be very underbuilt in the body. This one has myriad old repairs to bracing on the top and, as a result of that and a top that's too thin, the whole top is curved and dipped and bulging here and there. Fortunately, it sounds and plays great after work, so perhaps we're winning anyhow?
Work included a neck reset from me and then a tag-team of work by Jose and Jacobi -- a level/dress of the frets, crack repairs, a new compensated saddle, bridge tweaking and brace repairs, cleaning, and all sorts of other fussing. It was not a happy patient and fought the whole way.
The most similar guitar I worked on in the past is a Val Dez (click here for that).
