1960s Goya G-13 Folk Classical Guitar

Levin-made, Swedish Goya guitars have long been some of my favorite classicals made on a large scale. This one is pretty typical for their "folk" lineup (G-XX numbers under G-20, which is where the bigger-body, longer-scale models start) as it has a Gibson-like 24 3/4" scale length, comfy slimmer-D neck shape, and cozy, 00-size body dimensions.

This is a customer's guitar and it required a lot to get it going. It had a brutal crack in the lower-bout-side which required some long clamps to sort-out. Beyond that, the main below-soundhole ladder brace needed replacement, the bridge needed a reglue, and it needed a level/dress of the frets, setup work, and crack repairs. With all of that done, it's now playing beautifully and has that cheery, almost flamenco-friendly, balanced sound that I associate with these models.

I'm pretty sure this one's a mid-'60s G-13 model, though the soundhole label is damaged. It's solid spruce over solid mahogany and has fan bracing on the top.
