1960s Regal (Harmony H1203) Rubber-Bridge Electrified 000-Size Guitar

The short of this story is that this is a Harmony H1203 Sovereign, basically, but with a cheaper fretboard material (ebonized maple or the like) and, when new, an alternate bridge shape. We worked on this guitar last year and sold it, but after it arrived the original bridge (which we'd reglued) actually snapped. Oh, cheap Harmony bridges! Oh well.

The long of it is that it came back to me after a trade-return-deal-thing up to Canada and I lost a ton of money and pride in the process, hah hah. It sat ever since until a couple weeks ago when I converted it into this rubber-bridge version of the guitar and it became a much, much more fun vehicle of noise.

Work to change-over included fitting the pickup, fitting a new, thin bridge (Manny made it for me from ebony on a lark), fitting the wiring harness and tailpiece, and whipping-up an adjustable-height bridge for the rubber saddle. This was a little harder due to the low neck angle intended for a flattop bridge, but I got it done.

It now resides with my buddy Pappy and is, hopefully, getting some good play out there in the world.
