1968 Goya T-16 (Levin) 000-Size Guitar

Overview: I get confused with the various 00 and 000-size, Levin-made, Goya models from the '60s. This T-16, however, is comparable to a Martin 000-18. It's solid spruce over solid mahogany, x-braced, sounds great, has a quick neck, and even has a K&K pickup fit so it's ready to gig. The "offset" fret markers give away that it's a late-'60s model.

I'm a big fan of Levin-built guitars -- they're well-made, pretty sturdy, and have attractive looks -- note the understated headstock shape and rosette which are stylish but not in-your-face

Repairs included: Previously, I gave it a neck reset, fret level/dress, bridge modification (saddle slots altered -- this had 6 individual plastic saddles but it now has a normal, bone, drop-in saddle), crack repairs to the top (to the bass side of the fretboard and at the center seam on the lower bout), and setup work. It's playing spot-on and arrived here back at the shop, after some time out and about in service, playing just the same as when it left. I just needed to clean it up!

Condition notes: There are repaired hairline cracks at the bass upper bout (extending to he side of the soundhole) and at the center seam below the bridge. A K&K pickup has been installed with a passive volume control fit on the top (per the last owner's request). This makes it a little easier to turn it on and off at gigs. There are various scratches, scuffs, edge wear, weather-checking to the finish, etc. throughout but I think it's plenty endearing!

It comes with: Sorry, no case.
