2020s Deering Goodtime Openback 5-String Banjo

Overview: I'm not sure when this was made exactly but I'd expect it was in the last 5 or so years. It's quite clean and in good health and I just needed to give it a setup, restring, and side dots after it arrived. I took this one in trade (as I recall) and it's a prototypical modern Goodtime -- just a simple, no-frills, good-sounding, easy-to-enjoy banjo with a comfy neck profile that fits most hands.

These critters don't have truss rods and so I always suggest keeping them strung light (9s) and taking care of them at least a bit. I've seen plenty that have been over-strung and neglected and those almost always wind-up with wonky necks as they age. The ones that aren't left in cars overnight and through the hot days and neglected seem to hold-up just dandy.

Repairs included: I added side dots, cleaned it up a bit, added compensation at the bridge, and set it up. It's playing spot-on and ready to go.
