1968 Guild F212 Jumbo 12-String Acoustic Guitar

Overview: The venerable F212 is still a disgustingly popular instrument whenever we have them in the shop. I love hearing folks pick them off the walls and immediately embrace their inner folksingers. The '60s models are a bit different from the later '70s models and have a slightly-chunkier neck feel, curvier body shape with a narrower top, and a little more warm thump than their janglier, later brethren which I tend to associate with western vista-wide, strummy delights.

This one's a Hoboken-made, '60s-style one and while it can do that strummy delight (especially when picked near the bridge), it can also do a bit more of that Leadbelly, country-blues, weird-old-folksy, thumpy and stomp stuff. I like.

Repairs included: Jose gave this a neck reset, fret level/dress, back brace reglues, new fully-compensated (for each string) bone saddle, cleaning, and setup. It's playing spot-on and ready to go. We set these up for E to E standard tuning with extra-light (42w-9) strings but can restring and adjust to player preference.

Condition notes: There are some nicks and dings on the back of the neck. There's weather-check to the finish here and there throughout. There are light scratches here and there throughout as well. Still, it looks grand and especially-so for its age. It's original throughout, too, save the new saddle.

It comes with: It's got a good, hard case as I recall.
