2006 Blue Ridge BR-183 000-Size Acoustic Guitar

Overview: The BR-183 is just about the fanciest Blue Ridge OM-style guitar one can get. It's pearl-bedecked at all edges -- front, back, sides, fretboard, and profuse amounts in the headstock veneer -- and it looks good doing it, too. It's got class!

Luckily, this guitar also has a pretty robust, full sound to match. It's definitely got the OM thing going on with the longer scale as it's got more punch and guts than a typical 000-style of the same specs. The build quality is nice, the bracing is light and accurate, and the finish is nicely-done. The rosewood for the back and sides is good-looking stuff and the neck has a comfortable, Martin-esque cut.

Repairs included: Jacobi gave this one a level/dress of the frets and setup. It's playing spot-on and is ready to serve. I think I installed the K&K pickup that's in it sometime back.

Condition notes: It's quite clean but there may be small scratches here and there that I'm not seeing. The bridge has two scratches behind the A&D pins. The pickguard is likely an oversized replacement as the originals on these tended to be splotchy-looking and smaller. It's Martin-style, though, and looks good.

It comes with: It has a decent case.
