1950s Silvertone Catalina (Kay "Green Kentuckian") Archtop Guitar

Overview: So, this is the rarer, earlier, Kay-made Silvertone Catalina model that's very similar to the "Blue Kentuckian" or "Kentucky Blue" Silvertone archtops made just after this guy. Its metallic green highlight color has faded a bit to a more olive-metallic-green but the cream is still nice and striking. It's also 100% original and in good order, too.

Repairs included: This previously got a neck reset (before it got here). In-shop, Jacobi gave it a level/dress of the frets, compensated the B-string slot in the saddle, and set it up and added side dots. It's playing spot-on and ready to serve. Note that because of the unreinforced necks and long scale, we've opted for 11s on stringing. If you detune, 12s will be fine, but normal 12s at pitch is rolling the dice on neck stability in the future.
