1966 Epiphone FT45N Cortez (Gibson B-25) 00-Size Guitar

Overview: Heart be still, right? This is a nicely-clean old Epi Cortez (the Epi-branded variant of the venerable Gibson B-25/LG-3) and it plays and sounds a treat. Aside from a replacement (Tusq, fully-compensated) saddle and an extra strap button at the side of the heel, it's otherwise original.

The neck on this is narrower as it's a '66 but that gives it that rock-and-roll, chords up-and-down-the-neck vibe that makes it a ton of fun to play retro-sounding stuff on. A pickup of some sort (K&K-like but not K&K as far as I can tell) has been installed and sounds pretty good, too.

Repairs included: Jacobi gave it a level/dress of the frets, recut the new saddle for proper compensation, cleaned it up, and set it up. It's playing spot-on and ready to go. There's a small hairline crack (repaired, previously) at the bottom edge of the pickguard on top.

Condition notes: It has weather-check to the finish throughout and smaller scratches and scuffs here and there. There is one small (repaired) crack to the bottom of the pickguard. The saddle is a replacement as the original ceramic one both sounded only OK and was incapable of being recut for proper intonation at the bridge. Someone has added an extra strap button to the side of the heel. This still has its original (plastic!) bridge that's bolted to the top. It's in good health, however, and does not need replacement as so many of them do.
