1967 Gibson B-25 00-Size Guitar

Overview: I know most of the 00-size Gibson love is for '40s and '50s instruments, but I'm a big fan of '60s ones. They have a particularly woody, slightly-warmer, strum-friendly sound that makes them perfect singer-songwriter companions. The necks are also on the fast, electric-player-friendly side, too, so you can chug-out closed-position chords all night long without tiring.

This '67 is thoroughly "played-in" and has wear and tear everywhere. The "cherryburst" finish is eye-catching, too, and I've always liked the look. In a sea of tobacco sunbursts, it stands-out and is western-ly inviting. It only looks better and better as it ages, too.

Repairs included: As I recall, Ancel did all of the work on this guitar. It wound-up getting a neck reset, brace repairs, crack repairs, a new bridge made and fit (the original was split in half), new saddle made, level/dress of the frets, cleaning, and setup work.

Condition notes: The bridge, saddle, pins, and bridge dots are replacements. There is an added strap button at the heel and both the heel button and endpin button are repro replacements. There are a few tighter, repaired hairline cracks on the top and back. There's weather-check throughout the finish and tons of scratches, nicks, dings, and whatnot throughout as well. You can see it! The headstock also has one of its wings reglued (the screws from the tuners popped it off) and you can see the glueline and a bit of fill in the area at the back of the headstock.
