2022 Eastman MDO305 Octave Mandolin

Overview: This is an almost "as-new" Eastman octave mandolin. I've played half a dozen of these over the last few years and this one is the punchiest, loudest one I've heard, yet. It also has the bonus of coming with an armrest and a "Toneguard" for the back as well as a good, hard case.

I feel like a lot of thought went into the design of these octave mandos because they feel really good in the hand. The nut width is "just so" to get clean notes wherever you're at on the board and the tops are cut light and efficiently dish-out sound.

Repairs included: I had to mildly modify the saddle (it was fit with a mandola bridge rather than an OM-style bridge and needed the E-string pair brought forward) and then it was just a little bit of setup work. It's playing spot-on and ready to go.
