2022 Gibson Custom Shop ‘64 Reissue ES-335 Semihollow Electric Guitar

Overview: This red beaut has been stealing hearts since it arrived. It's an essentially mint-condition, '22 Gibson Custom Shop reissue of a '64 ES-335, complete with light aging -- yellowed clearcoat and plastic trim, and light aging to the hardware's plating. The sound matches the looks, too -- with that nicely-clean and slightly-jangly (when played through a brighter amp and clean), '60s bucker sound that suits so many styles.

They knocked it out of the park as far as copycatting the build characteristics of '60s 335s. It's got the weight, the neck, the sound, the feel -- and it's spot-on as far as I'm concerned. It's mildly confusing to the brains in this shop (where the actual vintage stuff is hung right alongside it), to be honest, as it looks right. Most reissues don't look right. They look good, but not right. So, good job, Gibson cats! You win.

Repairs included: I gave this just the very slightest setup adjustments. It's playing spot-on and ready to go.
